ABOUT WENDY DAY.
"Empowering artists with the truth, one game-changing move at a time."

WENDY DAY
I'm Wendy Day, and I've had quite a career in the music industry. My greatest accomplishments are helping artists secure life-changing deals while maintaining their ownership and control, like brokering Cash Moneyās $30 million deal with Universal and Master Pās 85/15 distribution deal with Priority. Iāve dedicated my career to leveling the playing field for artists, empowering them with knowledge, and building pathways to long-term success.
I'm also credited with getting Eminem his record deal, as well as negotiating Tupac's deal... which is what a lot of people know me for. I've been doing this for decades.

MY STORY
I got into the music business back in the early ā90s because I was frustrated with how badly artists were being treated. I was just a passionate hip-hop fan who loved the culture, but I couldnāt stand seeing talented artists getting ripped off by bad contracts and shady deals.Ā
So, I sold my condo, car, and investments, moved to New York, and started Rap Coalition in 1992 ā a non-profit to help educate and advocate for artists.Ā
My mission was to level the playing field and teach artists how to navigate the business side of music so they wouldnāt get exploited. I didnāt come into this to make money; I came in to make a difference. And 30 years later, Iām still fighting for artists to get what they deserve.

WHY DO I TEACH?
Iāve seen too many talented artists get taken advantage of because they didnāt understand how the music industry works. Itās a business first, and if you donāt know the business side, youāre setting yourself up to be exploited.Ā
I feel itās my responsibility to educate artists because Iāve been in the trenches, seen the mistakes, and know how to navigate the system.Ā
Knowledge is power, and I want artists to have the tools they need to make smart decisions, build sustainable careers, and actually profit from their art ā because they deserve that.
MY VALUES
My values are rooted in integrity, honesty, and empowering others. I believe in doing business ethically and transparently, because artists deserve to thrive without being exploited.
Iām passionate about leveling the playing field in the music industry and making sure artists have the knowledge to protect themselves.Ā
I value hard work, dedication, and staying true to the culture. At the end of the day, itās about helping artists build sustainable careers while preserving the authenticity of hip-hop.
